Biography - DJ Triple D
Dj Triple D, pseudonym of Dave Hulsman, is a Dutch live DJ who makes hardcore house music.
Hulsman started his career in 1986 by making mixtapes after great example Ben Liebrand. That's how the name Triple D was born, DDD was used at the time to indicate whether a sound source was analogue or digital. Hulsman's mixtapes included acid house and new beat. He sold his mixtapes and bought his first house records, two sl technics record players and a mixing console and started to master the art of vinyl spinning.
In 1990 he regularly visited Parkzicht, Rotterdam where Hulsman heard another great example dj Rob. He then decided to buy a more professional dj set and use his Commodore Amiga to make house beats himself with the well-known program pro-tracker.
In his dj career Hulsman mainly played at underground parties (better known as raves). In 1993, Hulsman decided to organize these parties himself under the name DNR Productions, a name that was created in collaboration with friend and underground scene DJ Ren. Ren was the designer and responsible for the graphics on the flyers and designed glow-in-the-dark T-shirts. It was not until 1997 that Hulsman's music was officially released on the label of Point44 records at the time a sub-label of ID&T. The album called What's up whit that contained 4 tracks.
Hulsman took a break from his DJ career in 2002 and founded the record label DNR Productions in 2015. In 2022, What's up whit that was re-released by Point44 records and the track The Singing Detective received the most appreciation after 25 years. Hulsman then decided to continue his DJ career with authentic hardcore productions and performances.
